Real Wedding // Stephanie and Mike

When the first thing on your couple's list is to be sure their dogs can be involved you can assume  they are loving people and and amazing.  At least that was the case with Stephanie and Mike.  The couple met at a bar and lives in Chicago with their two dogs.  Stephanie, had a vision of a rustic wedding with modern touches and a nod to the couple's love of travel.  Passion Flower did an AMAZING job with the flowers and rentals and we added a few modern touches, including the geometric table numbers and chuppah decor.  Not only did Stephanie and Mike have their dogs, but the animal lovers were so excited to take portraits with the farm's goats.   Kathy Davies killed it with the photography.

If you're a resident of New York City and you've taken a day trip to see some green, chances are you've made it up to the Hudson Valley.  And that is a smart move, because it's BEAUTIFUL!  The perfect place for New Yorkers to tie the knot in beautiful, rustic farm style.  Just a short train or car ride out of the city can get you to dozens of farms.  Many of which also serve as amazing wedding venues.  Here are five of our favorites!

5 Glam Camp Wedding Details

Camp weddings make me happy.  I was a camp consoler one summer and it changed my life.  Ever since, there is a special place in my heart for summer camps and the nostalgia and happiness they evoke.  But not every camp wedding has to be mason jars and canoes, here are five details to make a fabulous, glamorous camp wedding.  Okay, I'll go ahead and say it, "glamping" wedding.

1. a pretty backdrop.  Love that this one combines natural elements with beautiful floral arrangements and lanterns, but pretty lanterns.

2. a beautiful flower crown.  I know this detail is a little predictable, but look at this image.  It's glamorous and natural and so so pretty.  Bonus if you work in some jewels.

3. escort cards with a nod to traditional camp activities.  I'm so impressed by the creativity of Michelle Leo Events to come up with an unexpected camp element with a glamorous twist.

4. A woodsy cake.  Whether its a naked cake bursting with flowers and berries, or a birch tree inspired treat, a lovely cake is a must!

5. and what camp night would be complete without s'mores?  This s'mores bar, styled by Kathryn Wolle is probably the prettiest I've ever seen.
