15 Fabulous Ideas for Greenery at your Wedding

Greens are everywhere!  It wouldn't be an exaggeration to say that every other instagram post in my feed has at least one plant.  The wedding industry is traditionally about the flowers, but we are seeing a shift to highlight all the beautiful types of greenery out there.  Today I'm on Something Turquoise sharing 15 ideas to incorporate greens into your decor.

This Week We Love Loved...

Hi friends, it's been a minute.  Greece was amazing, and exhausting!  We got back on Monday, but I didn't even have energy to unpack until yesterday, I was so beat everyday when I got home from work.  Anyway, I did get a chance to catch up with a few of my favorite blogs.  Here are my favorites from the week.

In my opinion favors aren't always the best investment, but how could a guest forget to take home a special token this beautiful?   Click over to these Brooklyn nuptials to get your socks knocked off!

This menu is such a simple and easy DIY.  It offers a sort of "water cooler" for guests to gather around to find out what will land on their plates.  Check out the rest of this Jackson Hole wedding for lots more pretty!

I bought a Cricut earlier this year, so I am all about the special laser-cut details.  The mix of pattern and open work on these boho invites is perfection.

And finally, an exquisite, unique floral specimen part of The Big Fake Wedding Boston

We all love our fur babies.  I love seeing pups in bow-ties as furry ring bearers, but lets be honest, not all pets are as well behaved and not all venues want your pet in their space.  I can relate, we have a seven-year-old pup with the energy of a seven-month puppy.  She jumps and runs and is completely unpredictable, especially around large groups of people.  I know, like myself, many of you out there want to honor our pets, but not have them actually involved in your wedding.  Here is my round-up of 10 ways to honor Fido without having him don a doggie flower crown.

1. Use your pup in your save-the-date like this couple did, by Foskett Creative

2. Cute puppy pics make for perfect table numbers as this wedding via Style Me Pretty.

3. draw your four-legged friend into your your invitation, like this one by Le French Circus

4. From United with Love, favors for your fur babies.

5. Like this wedding, use your dog's likeness to display your bling.

6. Carry your pups with you down the aisle like Tori of Sitting in a Tree did.

7. Designer, Amorology made the most adorable escort card display with dog details.

8. How about a custom made cake topper of couple's best friends?  Love this one by Dog Cake Topper.

9. Take home a doggie bag of the human kind, printables from Marry This

10. From Southern Weddings, illustrated koozies are super fun favors

Top 10 // Herb Wedding Details

It's Spring!  That means time to refresh and get into the garden, and bring the garden into your perfect event.  Infusing herbs into your wedding is a trend that I love the taste of, and there are so many ways to do it.  Here are a few of my favorites.

1. Planted herb centerpieces.  This lavender planted box adds the perfect pop of color by GD Designs, via The Wedding Chicks.

2. A cake topped with fresh herbs.  Found on Snippet & Ink, sage gives this cake a slightly more casual look.

3. One of my favorite masculine tables, I Giardini di Giava and Il Profumo dei Fiori  did an amazing job using the decor to bring in lots of thyme, via Green Wedding Shoes.

4. Add herbs to the boutonnieres.  Sage adds a nice fragrance and pretty pale green color to these boutonnieres by Beehive Events found on Style Me Pretty

5. Herb infused signature cocktail, perhaps this mojito from Gastronomer's Guide.

6. Dried herb confetti!  Dried lavender will shower the newlyweds with beautiful purple flakes and a delicious scent.  Via Style Me Pretty.

7. Potted herb favors.  Like these found on Snippet & Ink, send your guests home with a treat to enhance dinners to come.

8. Herb infused oil favors. A touch of the Mediterranean, such a great idea found on Bell & Chic.

9. Beautiful herb garland, as a runner as they did on 1000 Threads, or draped as a backdrop or across the sweetheart table, love this fresh take on florals.

10. A stunning herb bouquet.  Whether you add sprigs to your florals, or go completely green like this bouquet from Locally Grown Weddings, herbs add another dimension.
