Of course I love all my mood boards, but this one speaks to me for so many reasons! I am obsessed with the colors, the mixing of slightly bohemian with modern elements. The details seem of-the-moment, but not too trendy. I called this mood board "the new neutrals" because blush, indigo and mustard are the non-color colors. They are the accents that keep close enough to a safe neutral palette, but kick it up a notch.
It's been a while, but I am inspired and back at it, creating content for you, my brides and friends seeking inspiration for pretty weddings and gatherings! Today's mood board is a personal one. This weekend I put together a giant inspiration board, out side of the computer, with actual magazine tears, to inspire my personal and professional brands. You see, I have always been a maximal kind of person. I am a collector and a lover of things and color. But there is a piece of me who is been influenced by the minimal movement. I have paired down, developed a look a little more sophisticated than my former, loud vintage prints. This mood board is inspired by my personal style, classic with a twist, where modern and bohemian meet, the colors are colors, but they don't scream, they speak softly. I just rattled off a bunch of oxymorons, but I think they all accurately describe me and this mood board.
OMG. OMG. this is my absolute favorite wedding detail of all time, a disco ball, because nothing says party like a disco ball. Plus they're all glitter-like and the light moves like your back in fifth grade at the skating rink. They really are the best best detail, and I'm so excited to share these 10 snippets, including my own, number 7. Happy Thursday, y'all!
Happy New Year!!! Hey friends thanks for coming back to visit. It was a lovely long break, but back at it and feeling very inspired! Today's mood board is perfect for where my head is at, and the perfect way, in my opinion, to begin a new year, with a clean slate. These pretty images are industrial and minimal and lovely inspiration for a very pretty wedding.
Is there anything better than making it to Friday, when you know you only have three work days after the weekend? Not for me! This weekend we are continuing house projects, attending a first birthday party and starting to pull out the Christmas decorations! And hopefully catching up with this whole blogging biz. For now, here are my favorites for the week from wedding land!
