Mother's Day Sessions

Mother’s Day, of course it took on a whole new meaning when I celebrated my first mother’s Day as a mom two years ago.  As moms we are rushing and running and doing for the people in our lives, it’s tough to remember that behind the bottle of homemade all-purpose cleaner and the lunch box full of organic snacks is a beautiful strong woman.  Making just a few moms feel like the gorgeous, strong ladies that they are was my entire motivation for partnering with Anika of A. Fatourous Photography and Monique from We Make You Up.  A few weeks back we had a beautiful event celebrating a few special moms, we hosted a mini session event at a studio in Ossining.  I had the honor of dressing our moms up and creating flower crowns to make them feel extra special.  Monique lent her magic hand for the hair and make-up, and Anika captured all the beauty.  We also had mimosas and snacks waiting for the mamas and babes to keep everyone happy.  I am so in love with these photos and the beautiful moms have told me that they are too.  Thank you, to all the mamas who came and got their photos taken.  It was a special honor to help give you this Mother’s Day gift.

District Bliss Vendor Social

We recently had the pleasure of participating in the industry networking in happy hour, put on by District Bliss.  District Bliss is an awesome company that throws really cool, laid-back networking events in DC, New York and LA.  The events connect wedding vendors and creatives in a fun setting.  Each event has featured vendors, that get to show off their stuff, and we did the planning and decor for February event.  We had a great time with the other awesome vendors Phillip Van Nostrand, Bat Haus, Unna BakeryA Flippin' Good Time, Park Slope Press, Beat Train and, of course, the District Bliss girls.

Real Wedding // Stephanie and Mike

When the first thing on your couple's list is to be sure their dogs can be involved you can assume  they are loving people and and amazing.  At least that was the case with Stephanie and Mike.  The couple met at a bar and lives in Chicago with their two dogs.  Stephanie, had a vision of a rustic wedding with modern touches and a nod to the couple's love of travel.  Passion Flower did an AMAZING job with the flowers and rentals and we added a few modern touches, including the geometric table numbers and chuppah decor.  Not only did Stephanie and Mike have their dogs, but the animal lovers were so excited to take portraits with the farm's goats.   Kathy Davies killed it with the photography.

I Love Love a Vendor Dinner Party

A few weeks back I invited a few lovely vendor friends over for a lovely dinner, business talk and lots of wine!  I threw together a lovely little picnic set up using a piece of plywood set on cinderblocks and a standard drop cloth I painted inspired by the mud cloth I set atop the table.  I only snapped a few before photos, but it was a lovely evening under the Indian Summer moonlight.
