Hi Lauren,

Help, I attended five weddings this summer and bought dresses for almost all of them.  Now I have one more in December, and I just can't bring myself to buy another.  Any tips on styling a summery dress to make it work for winter?

~ Carly

Hi Carly,

I hear ya, I went to a bunch of weddings this summer and I agree, I wouldn't want to buy another, especially when all your extra cash is going toward gifts this time of year.  I think you can definitely rework your accessories, footwear and outerwear to make the look work for colder temps.  Unless it's super formal, booties are definitely wedding appropriate, as long as the heel isn't too chunky.  This season any leg-wear goes from opaque to sheer.  I would opt for sheer, as it's a little dressier.  Make a strapless dress look less seasonal with a statement neckpiece, this season, I think the chocker works great.  Trade in your metallic clutch for a chic cross-body bag, and top the look off with one of the the many many fabulous faux fur jackets out there right now.  Hope you can make it work, Carly without blowing your budget.
